Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy in recent weeks.
In October, journalist Dean Jones told the Ranks FC podcast that Spurs are monitoring the Guinea international forward.
Now, BILD has issued a report that could bode well for Tottenham in their hopes of signing Guirassy in the January transfer window.
The German outlet covered the events after Stuttgart’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of the DFB-Pokal.
Guirassy opened the scoring for his side in the 54th minute to set them on their way to the quarter-finals of the competition.

After the match, the reported Tottenham target apparently took the microphone from stadium announcer Holger Laser. He then addressed the fans in the MHP Arena with ‘very personal words’.
“The atmosphere was great as always. Thank you for everything,” he is quoted as saying by BILD. They say those comments ‘almost sounded like warm farewell words’.
Tottenham will fancy their chances of signing Serhou Guirassy
A couple of weeks ago, BILD reported that Guirassy dreams of a move to the Premier League. Again, this bodes well for Tottenham in their pursuit of the player.
That report also said he can leave Stuttgart for just €17.5million (£15million) in the January transfer window via a release clause, something which attracts ‘many interested parties’.
All in all, things are shaping up well for Spurs if they do decide to make a move for Guirassy.
The 27-year-old would certainly tick a lot of boxes for Spurs. He’s talented, prolific, hard-working, proven at a high level, a good age, and not too expensive.
Guirassy’s record this season has been nothing short of staggering. He has 18 goals and two assists from just 13 club outings in all competitions. And this includes 16 goals from 11 Bundesliga appearances.
Such a tally would normally make any player the runaway leader in the scoring charts. However, a striker who moved to the Bundesliga from the Premier League in summer currently holds that spot.
Could Guirassy move from the Bundesliga to Spurs to replace Harry Kane, who moved from Spurs to the Bundesliga just a few months ago?
