Swedish legend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is reportedly open to a move to Everton during the January window.

The big striker, who has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester United, is apparently willing to look at moving to Goodison Park.

However, Ibrahimovic will only make the move to Merseyside once Carlo Ancelotti is confirmed as boss. The Italian is edging ever closer to agreeing a deal with the club, according to reports.

According to a report from Talksport, the Swedish star is keen on a reunion with Ancelotti. ‘Zlatan’ played under the Italian coach during his time at PSG.

He has since moved on to LA Galaxy over in the MLS, but the 38-year-old is still confident he can deliver at the highest level it seems.

True star power

Not many strikers have true star quality these days. Zlatan, though, has that in abundance.

Some might confuse his confidence with arrogance but the fact is, the numbers have always backed it up when it comes to the Swedish superstar.

Goal-laden spells with the likes of Juventus, AC Milan, Inter, and then later with Man United and PSG, have ensured Ibrahimovic will go down as one of the finest strikers of his generation.

TBR view

Everton have tried in the last few seasons to make the jump between being a mid-table Premier League club and one who can challenge for honours.

So far, spending big sums of money has failed to bring success. For all the big-money signings, few have had the draw that someone like Ibrahimovic brings.

If the Toffees do manage to sign Zlatan, then it would be quite the coup. He’s no spring chicken at 38, of course, but he brings so much with him. Goals, experience, and a winning mentality, just three of the qualities he would bring to Goodison with him.
