Arsenal could have been given a glimspe into the future when it comes to Martin Odegaard, given Zinedine Zidane’s apparent plan for Dani Ceballos.
Defensa Central claim that Zidane is willing to give Ceballos a chance in the summer. They claim the Madrid boss is open to looking at Ceballos again as he mulls over whether to keep the Spaniard or allow him to move on.

Of course, Arsenal will be keeping an eye on proceedings involving Ceballos themselves. It remains to be seen if the Gunners or indeed Mikel Arteta, want to make his move a permanent one.
But maybe even more importantly, Zidane’s thoughts could give Arsenal a hint at his plans for loan star, Martin Odegaard.
The Norwegian is on loan with Arsenal from Madrid and it remains to be seen if that is a move either club is willing to make permanent.
Odegaard suits Arsenal
Out of both Ceballos and Odegaard, without being too critical of the Spaniard, Odegaard seems to be the one who Gunners fans would like to keep hold of.
He’s made a big impression since his arrival. He’s added that bit of spark in the final third that the Gunners were missing and it’s clear as day he is a hugely talented player.

Ceballos has done well in his own right. But he’s never really lit up the show and made it impossible for the club not to sign him. Given Zidane’s stance here, it appears Madrid might be taking a full assessment of their squad in the summer.
Arsenal, then, will do well to keep a close eye on things over in Madrid and be ready to pounce should Odegaard be deemed surplus to requirements.
