Leeds United have reportedly made a move to sign attacker Ze Luis from Russian club Spartak Moscow.
According to Championat, the Whites have submitted a mega £10.5million bid for the centre-forward in this January transfer window.
It is understood that Spartak don’t intent to offload the in-form 27-year-old at that price.
Ze Luis is a left-footed striker has been in great form this campaign for the Russian top-flight club, scoring 11 goals in 24 games across all competitions.
The Cape Verde international managed three goals in the Europa League group stages this campaign and is used to playing at a top level.
It’s unclear on if Leeds could strike a deal for the striker, but he would be another masterstroke signing from manager Marcelo Bielsa if it takes places.
The Yorkshire giants have already added goalkeeper Kiko Casillas to their ranks in January from Real Madrid and it appears can attract some high-profile players to Elland Road.
Leeds do already have the likes of Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford in attack, who have helped them team sit top of the Championship table.
Missing out on Ze Luis would not be the end of the world, but he would surely rip it up if given a chance in the second-tier of English football.
He is a great finisher with his left foot and strong in the air, while he’s got the pace too to cause damage.
