Zaha would be foolish to trade Crystal Palace for the riches of Dalian Yifang
Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang want to sign Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha, according to the Daily Mail.
They report that Zaha could triple his wages with a move to Asia with the move being worth up to £11m a year to the winger and that the club would allow him to make regular trips back to the UK.
Zaha signed a new contract at the club recently, but is as good as any player outside the top six and for as long as Palace remain embroiled in relegation fights, the winger’s loyalty to the club will continue to be tested.
And while a move to one of the English top six or a European giant would be the logical next step, a switch to China would make little sense for a player operating at the top of his game like Zaha.

Zaha struggled badly with the culture shock at Manchester United, and comes across as as much of a home bird as you could expect to find in the Premier League.
But even if he dealt well with moving halfway across the world, Zaha could earn great riches by remaining in Europe and moving up – and not down – in standard.
Chelsea need another reliable winger, as do Arsenal, and both would be more logical next steps.
