'In my life': Yves Bissouma raves about Tottenham player on Instagram who is 'one of the best'
Heung-Min Son answered any Tottenham doubters with a stunning hat-trick off the bench yesterday as Spurs hammered Leicester City.
Son was dropped to the bench by Antonio Conte for the clash with the Foxes but he responded in the perfect way by climbing off the bench and scoring a stunning triple in a 6-2 win. For the South Korean, it was the ideal way to show Conte he deserves to be playing each week. For Conte, of course, it was just what he wanted to see.
Of course, impressing fans is one thing but impressing your teammates is another and Son seems to have caught the eye of his new teammate, Yves Bissouma. Taking to Instagram last night after the win, Bissouma posted a picture of himself with Son, declaring him one of the best people he’s ever met. Certainly, it was high and generous praise from Bissouma.
Bissouma himself is beginning to settle in to life at Spurs and after a week in which Antonio Conte admitted he needed to do more, he’ll have been happy to be involved for the final 20 minutes of the game.
TBR’s View: Son Proves His Point
He looked an angry man after his first goal and there was definitely and edge to Son’s game yesterday we haven’t seen before.
On that note, it looks like a complete masterstroke piece of management by Conte. He has clearly got a reaction from Son and there is every chance that he now kicks on and finds the form he had last season.
Of course, the int’l break isn’t ideal right now for Sonny as he’d no doubt like to carry his momentum on. But all he can do is keep performing, and Conte will take those performances all day from one of his star men.
