Celtic are second in the Scottish Premiership now, and, as you can imagine, fans are getting rather frustrated about this situation.
In Scotland, you’re either first or you’re last, and after Rangers overtook Celtic this weekend, Hoops fans have been asking some serious questions of Brendan Rodgers.
Chris Sutton has been quite vocal in his criticism of Rodgers recently, and speaking on BBC 606, Robbie Savage has hit back at his fellow pundit for how critical he’s been of Celtic.
Sutton never stopped singing the praises of Ange Postecoglou’s side last season, but now, he’s been quick to criticise.

Robbie Savage hits back at Chris Sutton for his Celtic comments
Savage had a go at his co-host about how he’s spoken about Celtic.
“You were all over them last year, but now you can’t wait to put the boot in. I heard you on TV saying that Brendan Rodgers has to take more responsibility. You’re pathetic, bang average you say and they were top of the league until Rangers won,” Savage said.
Harsh
We can see where Savage is coming from here.
It is incredibly harsh to overly criticise a team that has lost just two league games this season, but, at the same time, in Scotland the margin for error is just that small.
You have to be top of the league and dominating if you’re a club like Celtic, and if those standards slip even for just a week or two, you’re going to come under pressure.
Rodgers and Celtic are still in a strong position, and a couple of wins in the Glasgow Derby should put them back on top, but anytime Celtic sit behind their great rivals, there are going to be questions asked by fans and pundits alike.
