'You're in trouble': AJ Tracey messages Alasdair Gold after Nuno told him off in Spurs presser
AJ Tracey has taken to Twitter to poke fun at Alasdair Gold, after Nuno Espirito Santo gave him a ‘telling off’ during a press conference.
What’s the story?
Well, the Tottenham boss does not like speaking about individuals as Gold alludes to before asking his question.
Nevertheless, Football London’s Tottenham correspondent quizzed Nuno on Skipp, before the Portuguese coach showered the 21-year-old in praise.
Pushing his luck somewhat, Gold then asks if he sees Skipp becoming a leader under him.
After that question, Nuno said: “No. Don’t ask me these things Alasdair. Let things go.”
It wasn’t the sternest of telling offs, although AJ Tracey wasted no time in telling Gold that he was in hot water.

Why doesn’t Nuno like speaking about Tottenham individuals?
We must admit, we weren’t aware that Nuno didn’t like discussing individuals until Gold mentioned it during the press conference.
Now we do know that, we can’t help but wonder why.
Press conferences, if handled effectively, can be a great way to motivate your players, or give them a kick up the backside if they’re slacking.
Some players may not be impacted enough by the manager or coaches, and need outside pressure to get themselves into gear.
Alternatively, it’s also just a good way to praise your players in the media, and put a smile on their face.
It has many uses, to say the least.
Why Nuno opts not to speak about individuals is a mystery, although Gold is quite clearly not afraid of trying his luck every now and again.
