A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to praise Erik Sviatchenko after the Hoops cult hero gave an interview to Celtic Star talking about his time at Parkhead.
The Denmark international joined Celtic in January 2016 and spent two years with the Bhoys, helping them win the title that year and the domestic treble the following season.
In January 2018, then Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers deemed Sviatchenko surplus to requirements and allowed him to rejoin his former club FC Midtjylland on loan.

After winning the Danish Superligaen title with the Jutland outfit, the 28-year-old’s loan was made permanent for a fee deemed by the Daily Record to have been £1 million.
Despite having been away from Celtic for over two years, Sviatchenko remains loved by the Hoops fanbase, and the feeling is more than mutual.
Indeed, the defender said he dreamed of playing at Parkhead again, and left the door wide open on a return by saying he’d love to do so for Midtjylland, Celtic or a third club.
Sviatchenko took to Twitter to thank Celtic Star’s Matt Corr for the interview opportunity and some Bhoys responded kindly:
