Tottenham Hotspur fans have been waiting very patiently for Spurs to announce the loan signing of Gareth Bale, and as of Saturday afternoon, they are still waiting.
As reported by Sky Sports, Bale completed a medical in Madrid on Thursday as he closes on a deal that will see him return to the club he left in a then world-record £86million transfer seven years ago.

The last media update on Bale, on Friday afternoon, saw him arrive at Tottenham’s training ground after flying from Spain to seemingly complete his move back to North London from Real Madrid.
However, the official Spurs account hasn’t posted anything since Friday afternoon, and as such, there’s a lot of thumb-twiddling going on right now amongst the Spurs fanbase.
On Saturday afternoon – 3:54pm, to be precise – BT Sport presenter Jake Humphrey posted a tweet – since deleted – regarding Spurs’ Premier League trip to Southampton on Sunday.
He also announced that his channel had an “exclusive first interview with you-know-who in the build-up”.

If the “you-know-who” happened to be Bale, they may just have confirmed that he is now with Spurs ahead of the club.
Of course, it could be someone else, but it’s certainly got some Spurs fans talking:
