Leeds United have confirmed Mateusz Bogusz has joined Spanish side UD Ibiza on loan until the end of the season.

The club announced on their official website that the Polish youth international will spend next campaign with the Segunda Division club.

It will be Bogusz’s second spell in Spain. The teenager played for UD Logrones last season, making over 20 appearances for the club.

Bogusz has hardly featured for Leeds since joining in 2019. The midfielder has made just two appearances in total under Marcelo Bielsa, both coming in the 2019/20 Championship-winning year.

Indeed, Bogusz is regarded as one of Poland’s most exciting youth talents. However, the midfielder has not developed as expected at Leeds. Unlike other young talents such as Illan Meslier and Pascal Struijk.

Despite going out on loan for a second time, Leeds supporters on social media are happy that Bogusz will be heading out for the year to gain more first-team experience.

What is more, some fans were jealous that Bogusz will spend a year of his life in Ibiza. The Spanish island is famous for its nightlife and holiday culture.
