Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has sent a message to Brentford counterpart Josh Dasilva following Spurs’ victory in the League Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.
Jose Mourinho’s charges ran out 2-0 winners over the Bees as Moussa Sissoko opened the scoring with a 12th-minute header and Son Heung-min added a second midway through the second half.

Hojbjerg and Dasilva were involved in an incident late on as the 22-year-old was sent off, following a VAR review, for a studs-up challenge on the Tottenham ace.
The foul broke Hojbjerg’s shin pad and left the Denmark international bleeding – although he tried to play on, Jose Mourinho was forced to substitute him minutes later.
Dasilva later took to social media to insist he never meant to hurt Hojbjerg:
And Hojbjerg replied with a classy message:

The League Cup final takes place in April this year, with Spurs taking on one of Manchester United or Manchester City in the showpiece.
Up next for Tottenham is their FA Cup third-round tie away at Marine on Sunday, and Mourinho believes Hojbjerg will be fine for the game.
He told The Mirror: “Pierre has a big cut but he didn’t even want me to play Tanganga in the last five minutes so I believe he can be okay for the weekend.”
