Arsenal keep being linked with new striker.
There’s a prevailing feeling that the Gunners need a top-class number nine if they are to win the league this season, and with January on the horizon, there could be a big recruitment drive.
One player Arsenal have been strongly linked with is Victor Osimhen, but given the Nigerian’s pricetag, this deal is seen as unlikely.
However, speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Don Hutchison has provided a solution for Arsenal, claiming that they could sell the likes of Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith Rowe to fund a move for Osimhen.

Arsenal have saleable assets
Hutchison shared his verdict on what Arsenal could do.
“If you’re going for strikers and you have some money to spend, just some names roughly, if Arsenal want to get some money in to sign Victor Osimhen, who I think is one of the best out there, you could sell Elneny, Nketiah, Nelson and Smith Rowe, there’s plenty of players out there you can get some funds in for this top striker,” Hutchison said.
Possible
Arsenal are shackled by FFP rules heading into January after a huge summer of spending, but Hutchison’s solution here could just work.
The four players named would all fetch a decent fee, and with a mini fire sale, the Gunners could afford a top signing this winter.
Of course, making these sales is much easier said than done, and Arsenal would need to weigh up whether it’s worth decimating their depth options in order to make one luxury signing.
A player like Osimhen could be the difference between Arsenal winning the league, but, then again, having the likes of Smith Rowe, Nketiah and Nelson to call upon from the bench is also very important.
It will be interesting to see what business Arsenal do next month.
