Arsenal are blessed to have two top goalkeepers in their ranks but who would step in from the outfielders if they had to?
Currently, the Gunners have both David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale on the books. Karl Hein is also in reserve, meaning the club are well-stocked at the moment.
Mikel Arteta made a big song and dance when he signed Raya in the summer and insisted he’d rotate.
However, that’s not been the case as Raya is clearly the number one, with Ramsdale being tipped to move on in the summer.
But what if disaster struck in an actual game and both Raya and Ramsdale were forced off. Who would step into the sticks and do the business? Well, defender’s Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba have had their say.

Which Arsenal outfielder makes the best goalkeeper
It’s a question not often asked and a situation that most clubs don’t want to find themselves in.
However, it does happen. We’ve seen Phil Jagielka do it more than once for Sheffield United back in the day, while Arsenal legend Olivier Giroud has also had a go.
And when asked the question about which outfielder would make the best goalkeeper, speaking to Stadium Astro, Gabriel and Saliba had their say.
Gabriel opted to go with Declan Rice, admitting that ‘you can tell’ when pressed on his selection.
Saliba, meanwhile, brilliantly backed himself to do the business if needed!
Declan Rice would play anywhere for Arsenal
These are all hypothetical questions, of course. But it was interesting to see Gabriel go with Declan Rice and it just about sums up the England man.

Rice has been outstanding in the middle of the park for the Gunners and for England. And quite bizarrely, you’d imagine he’d make a decent fist of things in goal as well.
This Arsenal squad clearly has plenty of good spirit amongst it right now. This interview from Saliba and Gabriel showed that, as they answered a bunch of questions.
Come the end of the season, they might just walk out as title winners. And the signing of Declan Rice will have been as important as anything in that success.
