‘You can see’: Pascal Struijk amazed by the ‘quality’ one summer signing has brought to Leeds

Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk has been speaking to club’s official website about Brenden Aaronson – and he says he’s amazed by the ‘quality’ the summer signing has brought to Elland Road.

Aaronson has really caught the eye since making the switch from RB Salzburg over the summer. The American midfielder put in another impressive display yesterday, despite the 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old was arguably Leeds’ brightest spark on the day, particularly in the first-half.

Struijk put Leeds ahead at Selhurst Park but the goal was down to a superb piece of play by Aaronson. The youngster skipped past four Palace defenders before seeing his effort come back off the post, but Struijk was there to calmly convert the rebound.

Now the Leeds centre-back has heaped praise on Aaronson for the impact he has made in Yorkshire.

Speaking to LUTV, Struijk says Aaronson has adjusted to Premier League football admirably.

“He’s really good, you can see his quality on the pitch,” he said.

“He shows in the first couple of games he was really good, especially against Chelsea.

“I’m really pleased for him that he’s adapting so well since he came. He’s a quality player.”

Aaronson has earned high praise for his displays in a Leeds shirt so far. Jamie Redknapp was seriously impressed by his ‘magnificent’ solo run yesterday

The United States international was constantly trying to make things happen yesterday afternoon and has had a similar impact in most of the games he’s played in. But the Whites did drop-off in their second-half performance, including Aaronson.

The midfielder was eventually replaced by Mateusz Klich but for a 21-year-old that’s adjusting to a new league, he’s making a huge impact.

Jesse Marsch’s side are now without a win since the end of August after yesterday’s loss. The Whites boss will be hoping his young side can turn their form around in the coming weeks.
