BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas has shared what Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was ‘screaming’ at Jude Bellingham and the rest of the England side during last night’s World Cup game.
Henderson has got off to a difficult start to the season with Liverpool as he’s struggled to nail down a place in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The 32-year-old was also ruled out with a hamstring injury in September and hasn’t found consistency at Anfield so far this season.
But the Reds skipper was handed a vote of confidence from Gareth Southgate yesterday as he started alongside Declan Rice and Bellingham in midfield.
Henderson put in an impressive display and he was clearly pumped up during England’s 3-0 win over Wales. And Jenas shared that he heard Henderson screaming at his England teammates to ‘press’ during the first-half.

England dominated most of the game last night and pinned Wales back inside their own half during the opening 45 minutes.
His former teammate Neco Williams picked up the ball and attempted to launch a counter-attack in the 28th minute, but Henderson stopped him with a smart foul.
The moment prompted Jenas to comment on what he heard Henderson screaming at his teammates during the first half an hour of the game.
“He’s fired up, Jordan Henderson. I can hear him screaming to his teammates as the game’s going on to press,” Jenas told BBC Sport while co-commentating on the game.

Henderson is known for his leadership qualities and he’s served as Liverpool’s captain since 2015.
The midfielder put in a massive display against Wales last night and was clearly a positive influence on the pitch.
At 32, Henderson has played in the biggest games for Liverpool and it will benefit the likes of Bellingham to have an experienced head playing alongside him.
Henderson will be hoping his display has earned him a starting place for England’s last-16 clash against Senegal on Sunday.
