Manchester United won at Luton Town today and Gary Neville believes the pressure is now on Tottenham and Aston Villa.
United’s win moved them to within three points of Spurs in fifth and just five off Villa in fourth. It’s the first time really all season that Erik ten Hag’s side have put a run together and they now right in the mix.
Of course, with 13 games to go in the season there is a long way for United, Villa and Tottenham to go.
But speaking on Sky Sports after tonight’s game, Neville feels that both Villa and Tottenham will now be sensing United are behind them and with that, pressure will come.
“You can feel Ten Hag is more confident in his team – I think he’ll fancy hunting down Tottenham and Villa for top four. They’ll be feeling the pressure. I’m not saying Man Utd will get there but there is a bit between their teeth,” Neville said.

The Red Devils host Fulham next weekend in a very winnable game before taking on Nottingham Forest in the cup and then Manchester City.
Manchester United are right in it with Tottenham and Villa
Rest assured, the top four race is not over for Tottenham, Villa or United. Not by a long shot.
In fact, we could be in for one of the most exciting races in years and with potentially five places up for grabs, it’s really going to be an exciting finish.
Neville is right here in saying that the pressure will just start to be building now on Villa and Spurs.
Having a giant of a club like Man United just behind you is never easy and it will be interesting to see just who handles that pressure best in the coming months.
For Manchester United, the last few weeks have felt like a bit of a turning point for the club.
Tottenham and Villa meanwhile, are struggling for consistency and could do with going on some sort of big run themselves.
