‘You aren’t stopping him’…Kyle Walker says 26-year-old Manchester United player is ‘incredible’

Kyle Walker might have a big game against Liverpool this weekend for Manchester City but he’s found time to sing the praises of a Manchester United player.

Walker goes to Anfield having never won at Anfield and is hoping to put that right in one of the biggest games of the season so far.

Of course, another foe for Walker are City’s cross-city rivals, Man United. And in particular, due to the position he plays, Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has had a difficult season this time around and has come in for criticism from a number of pundits.

However, Walker is having none of it and speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE podcast, Walker admitted he finds Rashford an ‘incredible’ talent.

Kyle Walker praises Marcus Rashford

Speaking about his England teammate, Walker admitted that the 26-year-old forward is a nightmare for defenders at times.

“I honestly, honestly, I think he’s incredible. Listen things sometimes don’t go your way on the pitch but for me, and I’m not just saying this, when he’s on it, you aren’t stopping him. Left and right foot, pace, strong, and he’s got the one where there’s no back lift, it’s just a quick shot, like Defoe used to have. As a defender you gamble but when it comes through your legs, what can you do,” Walker said.

Rashford will get back to his best

All players are allowed a dip in form at times. For Marcus Rashford, because he’s at Man United and because he’s under the spotlight so much, everything seems magnified.

Rashford will get back to his very best at some point. He’s just having a little spell where things aren’t quite working for him that’s all.

If he can get back to his best, then still only being 26, he has ample time to show everyone just how good a player he is at this level.

Rashford will likely go to the Euros this summer and will probably play a key role as well. Indeed, it might even be the distraction he needs to find his best form.
