West Ham managed a crucial win yesterday as they scored late in the day to seal a fine comeback effort at Elland Road against Leeds United.
Michail Antonio’s late winner capped a fine second period from the Hammers, who had seem themselves get back into the game thanks to an own-goal from Leeds’ new signing, Junior Firpo.
For Antonio, it was yet another goal in what is turning into a fine season for the Jamaican international. Other key names, such as Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek also put in fine displays.

However, it was the efforts from left-back and often unsung here, Aaron Cresswell, that caught the eye of Hammers fans. And after Cresswell took to Twitter to celebrate the win, West Ham supporters were quick to praise him.
The former Ipswich man has become one of the most consistent left-backs in the league. But while his set-piece delivery is often lauded, it’s his overall play that’s catching the eye as well.
West Ham fans were delighted with Cresswell yesterday, and loads of them were on Twitter singing his praises.
