A number of Arsenal fans have given their thoughts on Willian’s controversial interview with UOL Esporte.
The 32-year-old arrived at the Emirates Stadium to much fanfare in the summer, signing a three-year deal reportedly worth £220,000-a-week after leaving Chelsea on a free transfer.
Willian hit the ground running in his first competitive game for Arsenal, registering two assists and putting in a man-of-the-match display in the Premier League opener at Fulham.

However, most of his performances since that game have been average at best and downright poor at worst, struggling to justify the Gunners’ outlay on him.
Far from being one of Arsenal’s main men, Willian has very much fallen down the pecking order, with just 15 starts all season.
Earlier this week, the Brazilian gave an interview to UOL Esporte in which he admitted he never actually wanted to leave Chelsea, and also spoke about his future.
Asked if he would return to play in Brazil, he replied: “Today, in my head, I don’t have this objective.
“I intend to stay in Europe, anyway. United States, I don’t know, another market. But we make plans, sometimes things can change.”
And some Arsenal fans think – or hope, anyway – that Willian is implying he could think about leaving the club sooner than his three-year contract:
