A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to praise Aaron Ramsey for signing his first professional contract at Villa Park.

The 18-year-old attacker has been making waves in the Villans academy, scoring six goals and picking up three assists in 13 games for the U18s last season.

Ramsey was promoted to the U23s at the start of the season, making him one of the youngest members in the setup.

He has hit the ground running at this level, registering an impressive six goals and three assists in 14 Premier League 2 appearances.

Ramsey, whose older brother Jacob has made his first-team breakthrough this term, also appeared in two of the club’s EFL Trophy matches during the current campaign.

He has also been regularly capped by England at youth level and was called into the Young Lions Under-19 squad in November.

Ramsey now taken a step closer to potentially following in his brother’s footsteps, with the club announcing on Tuesday that he has committed his future to Villa.
