'Yessss', 'always liked Levy': Some Spurs fans hail report that hints at potential twist in manager search

Spurs fans have reacted positively to a report claiming Daniel Levy is having doubts about Nuno Espirito Santo.

Tottenham are still in pursuit of a new manager, more than two months after sacking Jose Mourinho.

It’s not been smooth sailing for Tottenham, who came close to landing a new boss on a few occasions, but to no avail.

Spurs reportedly spoke to Antonio Conte and Paulo Fonseca, and both seemed likely to take the reins.

However, talks fell through in both cases, and now Tottenham are apparently in talks with Nuno.

Some Spurs fans aren’t pleased with this, citing concerns with the former Wolves manager’s style of play.

But a report in The Sun from Friday night suggests there are some big stumbling blocks.

The outlet quotes a source saying: “There are still a number of issues”.

One of those is apparently Nuno wanting a major say on signings.

This could potentially put him at odds with new director Fabio Paratici.

In addition, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly unconvinced by Nuno’s pragmatic style of play and reluctance to blood young players.

If Levy isn’t convinced about Nuno, then why would he gamble on him, particularly after the Jose Mourinho gamble backfired?
