The Daily Mirror claim in their print edition today (page 51) that Newcastle will make a change on goal later this week.

Karl Darlow is set to replace Woodman in Newcastle’s net, as the Magpies search for their first win of the season.

And Newcastle supporters seem pleased that a change is being made between the sticks.

A missed opportunity?

Elliott has been waiting for his chance at Newcastle for some time, so he may be disappointed to lose his spot so quickly.

However, Newcastle’s results haven’t been the most impressive and he did make an error in their clash at Old Trafford on his most recent outing.

The youngster has impressed out on loan, but is yet to really seize his chance to become number one at St. James’ Park.

Bruce will be desperate to get his goalkeeping call correct in three days’ time, as his side are under pressure to get off the mark this term.

Both Leeds and Newcastle are still looking for their first win, after starting their respective campaigns fairly slowly.
