Chelsea defender Thiago Silva says Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur committed a foul in the build-up to Pierre Emile Hojbjerg’s goal on Sunday.
That goal, which made the game 1-1, sparked animated scenes on the touchline between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte.
Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Silva said that the 25-year-old fouled Kai Havertz and should have picked up a yellow card.
There was also controversy over whether Richarlison influenced the goal from an offside position.

Bentancur committed a foul vs Chelsea, says Silva
“It was an incredible match, a lot of intensity, and we played very well,’ said Silva.
“We controlled it, apart from ten minutes in the second half when they equalised. The two goals we conceded were not just.
“The first was a foul and a yellow card, not an attack for them, and after Richarlison was standing in front of my goalkeeper. He couldn’t see the ball and it went in.
“We have played really well, controlled the game, only the final result is unjust.”
The replay of the challenge which is shown on the highlights package above shows that Bentancur got a touch on the ball in the challenge.
And Chelsea had plenty of time to defend the ensuing attack in the many phases of play which followed the tackle.
The Blues were clearly aggrieved by the decision, but the goal was given and Tuchel’s men even got control of the game again before letting it slip at the last.
