A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to rejoice in Albian Ajeti’s return to fitness and availability for the Hoops ahead of today’s big derby.
On Friday, Celtic boss Neil Lennon confirmed at his pre-match press conference that the 23-year-old has trained the last couple of days, so he’s fit and available.
The news is particularly good when you consider that Odsonne Edouard hasn’t been able to train during his period of self-isolation.
Ajeti, meanwhile, hasn’t featured since going off in the first half of the home win against Hibs on 27 September, but his timely return should see him back in the XI.
Needless to say, Celtic fans were pleased with the news and some made their feelings known on social media:
You just know he’s going to score…..👊🍀🍀🍀🍀

Ajeti no matter what for me, I think. Celtic will need an outlet and he’s the only one with adequate game time who can do the role required.
If Lennon insists on the 3-5-2 and Laxalt is fit, he should probably play. It’s clear it doesn’t suit Taylor.

I think Eddy or Griff will start with Ajeti and Jullien will definitely play a RCB instead of Welsh.
We still have a very strong squad to play that will do the business. C’mon the Hoops HH🍀🍀

Celtic are just one point behind their opponents in the Premiership table, while also boasting a game in hand.
However, the build-up to the game has been difficult to say the least, with Lennon set to find himself with several players missing.
As well as Edouard being a doubt, Nir Bitton, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Ryan Christie have been ruled out of the derby due to self-isolation protocols.
