Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has been singing the praises of Ellis Simms, the talented teenager catching the eye with his goalscoring antics at Finch Farm.

Bolasie is currently out of the first-team picture at Everton and will be looking to find a new club in January. But that has not stopped the DR Congo international from keeping track of the club and letting his opinions known regularly on social media.

Last night, Bolasie was praising the impressive display of Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun against Dundalk in the Europa League.

But soon after, he quickly made mention to another talented young striker currently at Everton.

Simms made headlines a couple of years back after an astonishing goal-scoring season in the Everton under-18s. He scored 32 goals in 21 games in the 2018-19 under-18 Premier League and he is still finding the net regularly now, in the under-23s.

Simms has scored six goals in nine appearances this season for David Unsworth’s men and Everton fans are hoping the 19-year-old might very well be a future first-team option for Carlo Ancelotti.

It might be a little while yet before Everton fans get to see Simms in the first-team but as Bolasie states, he is one for the fans to keep an eye on.
