Yannick Bolasie has hailed Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes’ ability having previously played with him.
The former Crystal Palace winger also played in Portugal with Sporting CP before Bruno Fernandes made the move to Old Trafford.
And he has admitted he knew the Portuguese midfielder would provide those in the Premier League problems.

Bolasie wowed by Bruno Fernandes
It is probably not a partnership you would immediately think of when considering the two players’ careers.
But there was a brief spell when the two were playing in Lisbon together.
Bolasie joined Sporting in the summer of 2019 and Fernandes made his £68m move to Old Trafford in the following January.
Speaking on the Filthy Fellas podcast, the 34-year-old has revealed just how impressed he was by the midfielder: ‘Bruno, to be honest if you’re saying the person who has created the most chances for man, you have to say Bruno. I only ended up scoring three goals for Sporting and I should have scored nine. The balls he was putting in were different,’ he said.
‘When he came Prem I said it, I said this guy is going to be a problem. He is the one who showed me the roots to the stats, of how to work the stats. It was mad in Portugal what Bruno could do. His ability is mad. He could play a game and if he scores that game was going to end 1-0.’

Bruno Fernandes’ Man Utd future
Fernandes has now been playing his football in the Premier League for four years and has two years remaining on his deal.
The 29-year-old only inked a new deal at Old Trafford in 2022.
Having been handed the captain’s armband, it is apparent Fernandes is a player who Erik ten Hag views as crucial to the Red Devils’ future.
And it is clear to see why when he has returned 71 goals and 62 assists over his 220 appearances for United.
A new dawn is expected in Manchester with the arrival of investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Fernandes looks to be a player key to their plans.
He has shown the Premier League what he is capable of for years now, and it appears United will need everything he’s got if they’re to land a Champions League spot.
