A number of Celtic fans have been having their say on the Hoops’ new five-year kit partnership with Adidas, as announced by the club on Friday.

Since 2015, American brand New Balance have produced Celtic’s kits after succeeding Nike, but their shirt offerings haven’t always gone down well with the Parkhead faithful.

With New Balance’s £25million deal set to expire in the summer, the Bhoys have now secured what is believed to be “the biggest kit sponsorship ever to be announced across Scottish sport”.

As of 1 July 2020, the German firm will provide kits for the Celtic men’s and women’s squads, in addition to training wear and all supporter replica kits.

As well as providing Celtic with a hefty financial boost, the Adidas deal has also been welcomed by many fans who can’t wait to see what magic the supplies can work on the famous green and white hoops.

Here is some of the supporter reaction on social media:

Celtic have joined an illustrious list of Adidas clients that includes Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

Adidas is also the official supplier of some of the biggest football tournaments in the world, such as the World Cup, the Euros and the Champions League.
