Here at The Boot Room we don’t want football writers who simply report the news. We don’t want match reports, long articles that no-one has time to consume, or data-rich content that our readers do not value.
We’re looking for writers who can demonstrate that they have the ability to produce creative, added-value content that moves the story on. We are interested in writers who understand what fans are thinking and saying, and are able to comment objectively on the issues that really matter to them.
We don’t care how much experience you have publishing articles on a football website – you just need to know your football and be able to write in a quick, creative and interesting manner.
Candidates should send a brief summary of your CV to date, and be prepared to put together a sample 180 word unique article on a Premier League or Championship club.
