A number of West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to criticise the EFL’s latest Team of the Week.
The Baggies ran out 3-0 winners over Bristol City at the weekend, with Hal Robson-Kanu scoring a brace for Slaven Bilic’s Championship leaders at Ashton Gate.
Callum Robinson gave West Brom the lead just after the half-hour mark after his effort was saved by goalkeeper Daniel Bentley, before rebounding off the forward’s face and into the net.
Bentley then presented Robson-Kanu with a great opportunity to make it two just minutes later when he couldn’t hang on to Jake Livermore’s effort, and the striker made no mistake from point-blank range.
The Wales ace then made it three in the second half as he smashed a left-footed volley past the City goalkeeper, and given his two-goal haul, he was named in the EFL’s Team of the Week.
However, some West Brom fans really wanted Livermore to be named in the XI, given his colossal performance in the game – as well as having a hand in two goals, his overall game was absolutely top class and crucial in his side getting the comprehensive win.
Here is some of the reaction from the Baggies faithful:
