‘Wow’, ‘tears in my eyes’: Some Arsenal fans react after spotting who was in training yesterday

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to rejoice after spotting Kieran Tierney in the Gunners’ latest training video.

The 23-year-old has missed Arsenal’s last six games in all competitions, and last five in the Premier League, due to a leg injury.

Tierney had become an integral figure for the Gunners prior to picking up the knock and is one of two notable absentees currently, with Thomas Partey also sidelined.

Arsenal have two huge games this week, Mikel Arteta’s charges facing Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday and then Premier League leaders Manchester City on Sunday.

Asked if Partey and Tierney could feature in those matches, Arteta is quoted by the Evening Standard as saying: “It seems unlikely at the moment, but I don’t know.

“Probably if there is one player who has got a bigger chance, it’s Kieran, because probably in the next few days he can start to do some parts with the team.”

On Tuesday, Arsenal shared a training-session video on their Twitter account, which included Tierney in action.
