Arsenal fans have been wishing Gunners defender Takehiro Tomiyasu a happy 23rd birthday on the club’s Twitter page.
The Japan international joined Arsenal on transfer deadline day and has quickly become a fan favourite at the Emirates.
Tomiyasu has played the full 90 minutes in each of Arsenal’s seven Premier League fixtures since he joined the Gunners.

And the 23-year-old has been instrumental for Mikel Arteta’s side, who began the season poorly.
Arsenal had lost their opening three games of the league campaign, but Tomiyasu has helped the Gunners up to sixth.
In addition, he endeared himself further to the Arsenal fans by saying he “immediately” took the opportunity to join the Gunners.
Tomiyasu even feared missing out on Arsenal as he thought he was going to Spurs.

“I thought I wasn’t able to join Arsenal,” Tomiyasu told DAZN Japan, via Goal.com. “I thought I was going to Spurs.
“On deadline day, the move broke down. Arsenal asked me to join them and I did immediately.”
It’s therefore not surprising that Tomiyasu’s birthday post on the Arsenal Twitter feed received plenty of love and well-wishes:
