‘Wouldn’t surprise me’… Pundit says he wouldn’t be shocked if £86m player signed for Tottenham

Harry Kane left Tottenham for Bayern Munich last summer, and it’s fair to say that this move hasn’t gone to plan.

Indeed, Kane left Spurs in the hunt for a bit of silverware, and joining a team that had won every league title for a decade looked like a surefire bet.

However, Bayern Munich now look very unlikely to win the Bundesliga, while their Champions League chances don’t appear to be massive either.

Speaking on The Spurs Show, Peter Taylor and the rest of the panel have been discussing Kane’s future, and Taylor says that he wouldn’t be surprised at all if Kane decided to come back to Tottenham.

Harry Kane could come back to Tottenham

Taylor spoke about the £86m man potentially returning to Spurs.

“Does anyone thing, it’s crossed my mind, this is the type of fantasist I am could he come back,” Taylor was asked.

“Yeah, that wouldn’t surprise me, that wouldn’t surprise me, I don’t blame him for having that experience at Bayern Munich and all that because that’s what he is, he wants to do it right,” Taylor said.

Not yet

Harry Kane loves Tottenham, and he probably will come back one day, but we can’t see this move happening this summer.

Kane left Tottenham for Bayern to win the biggest trophies, and while this season hasn’t gone to plan, there’s always next year.

Xabi Alonso, in all likelihood, won’t be at Bayer Leverkusen next season, so there should be a clear path for Bayern Munich to reclaim their Bundesliga crown, while their squad is still more than talented enough to continue to challenge in the Champions League.

Kane’s first year in Munich has been a bit disappointing, yes, but he’s still at one of the most successful clubs in the world, and, with a bit of patience, he will win trophies.
