‘Wouldn’t rule that out’: £22m Tottenham player could still leave this month

Bryan Gil has proven to be a very strange player for Tottenham.

The young Spaniard was signed after showing plenty of promise in La Liga, but it’s never really clicked for him at Tottenham, and that £22m deal to bring him in has looked like a really bad move.

Simply put, the Spaniard has proven to be a bit too lightweight for the Premier League, and with that showing no signs of changing, his time at Spurs could be coming towards an end.

Indeed, with Timo Werner coming through the door, there’s now more competition down that left wing, and Gil’s time at Tottenham could be up.

Speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Charlie Eccleshare has been discussing the idea of Gil moving on from Spurs this month, and he says that he wouldn’t rule out Gil making a move this month, but he did claim that the links to Fiorentina are premature.

Gil could move on

The journalist shared his verdict on the attacker.

“Yeah, I wouldn’t rule that out, I think the Fiorentina one has been a bit overstated, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he went out if there was someone interested,” Eccleshare said.

Time to go

As much as we hate to say it, it may be time for Gil to all it a day at Tottenham.

Sadly, this move just hasn’t worked out for anyone involved, and with so many wingers in the squad now, Gil isn’t going to see much gametime at Spurs going forwards.

Of course, that isn’t to say that Gil won’t be able to go and become a star elsewhere. After all, he’s only 22 years old still and he’s technically very gifted, but in terms of making it in the Premier League at a club like Tottenham, that ship appears to have already sailed.

Don’t be shocked if Gil does make a move this month.
