Alvaro Morata

Morata is player that was surprisingly let go by Spanish giants Real Madrid in July 2014, Juventus snapped up the Spanish international for a fee in the region of  €20 million. As part of the deal, Madrid included a buy-back option which they are rumoured to be considering activating this summer.

Statistically, Morata has not turned any heads. In fact he has never scored more than ten league goals in a season but he offers you more than goals. He is good in the air, quick, strong and has great movement, and can play as a target man, withdrawn in a “No.10” role or either side of a front three. For a target man, he is surprisingly mobile which is one of the reasons that he has been a success at Juventus. At the age of 23, he still has plenty of time to improve and would be a good investment if his services were acquired.

If Arsenal are to stand any chance in securing the services of Morata they will have some serious negotiating to do. It is widely believed that Madrid will activate the buy-back clause in his contract and could conceivably sell him on for a profit believed to be around £40 million.
