A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their desire to bring Eberechi Eze to Spurs after his season came to an end yesterday.

The QPR winger has developed into an outstanding player over the past few years and this season has claimed an impressive 14 goals and eight assists in 46 Championship games.

Tottenham are said to have been tracking Eze for some time, with Spurs scout Brian Carey present to see Eze star in QPR’s 3-1 win at Preston in March, according to The Sun.

More recently, the Daily Mail reported in June that Jose Mourinho is “thought to be an admirer” of the 22-year-old and that Tottenham’s interest remains.

Eze capped off a superb personal season on Wednesday night with a superb 61st-minute goal at West Brom, rifling into the top-left corner of the net after racing past his markers.

QPR’s 2-2 draw against the promoted Baggies saw them finish 13th in the table, and with their campaign now over, it remains to be seen what Eze’s future holds.

The winger is a cut above in the Championship and surely it’s a matter of time before a Premier League club snaps him up.

Former Spurs ace Les Ferdinand, now QPR director of football, told the Beautiful Game podcast earlier this year: “When I see some of the things he does on the football, and how comfortable he is on the football, I put him up there with one of the best I’ve seen.

Meanwhile, former QPR assistant manager Marc Bircham told Sky Sports last year: “He goes past players easier than Raheem Sterling did. Sterling would beat players with pace or do a trick or a chop – it’s all dynamic movements, but Ebere Eze just glides past players.”

It’s little surprise, therefore, to see some Tottenham fans call for Daniel Levy and co to move for the Spurs-linked ace on social media:
