Greg Docherty played a pivotal role as Shrewsbury Town shocked Stoke City in the FA Cup.

In the FA Cup Third Round replay, Shrewsbury travelled to Stoke and looked dead and buried when the home side went 2-0 up.

But the Shrews did not give up and they fought back to stage a remarkable comeback. With three goals between the 71st and 81st minute, Shrewsbury managed to edge out the Potters.

Docherty played a crucial role in midfield for Shrewsbury, as he has done all season. The 22-year-old moved on a season-long loan from Rangers last summer and he is proving his worth.

With seven goals this season, Docherty is showing Steven Gerrard that he has a bright future in Rangers’ midfield.

With the scores level at 2-2 last night, the Scotland under-21 midfielder burst into the box and provided an inch-perfect cross for Josh Laurent to tap in a winner.
