Arsenal links have named them as potential suitors for Real Sociedad’s Alexander Isak – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are happy with the transfer speculation.

The Athletic claims that Mikel Arteta’s side are monitoring the 21-year-old attacker.

Apparently, the Gunners technical director Edu is a big fan of the Sweden international, who would be a possible priority target if they enter the market for a striker.

The report states that there is a release clause worth €70million (£60.2million) in the centre-forward’s contract with Spanish La Liga club Sociedad.

Isak, who will hope to lead Sweden to glory at this summer’s Euros, is a huge prospect.

He’s just enjoyed a great campaign in La Liga by scoring 17 league goals in 34 games. Additionally, he was given some exposure in the Europa League competition.

Alexandre Lacazette was the Gunners top scorer this season with 17 goals. Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe (16) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (15) were just behind.

However, Isak looks like he would be a top addition at the Emirates Stadium because of his sky-high potential.

For 21, he already looks like a physical forward that can lead the line well with his pace and he’s a scorer of all types of goals.
