‘Would be so good’: West Ham fans react to links with Brentford’s Ivan Toney

West Ham fans have been having their say on Twitter in the last 24 hours after reports claimed the Hammers were interested in signing Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Toney scored again last night to send the Bees to the top of the Championship table and continue his fine goalscoring run. The former Newcastle man already has 23 goals this season in the league, following his reported £10m move from Peterborough last summer.

West Ham, though, are said to be interested in landing Toney themselves in the summer. Eurosport claims the Brentford man is on the radar of David Moyes, who didn’t sign a replacement for Sebastien Haller in January.

And Hammers fans have been all over Twitter endorsing the move for Toney. With Michail Antonio so important up front, it is clear the Hammers do need another central striking option.

West Ham supporters, then, seem to think Toney would be ideal, although a deal may prove difficult if Brentford are promoted.
