‘Worth the money’: Arsenal fans laud Ben White for Norwich performance

Arsenal finally got their season underway for the good with a win over newly-promoted Norwich City at The Emirates this afternoon.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal got things going for the Gunners, who held on to ensure Mikel Arteta could look at the table and see three points next to his team’s name.

The Gunners boss opted for a back three against the Canaries. In what will likely be his first-choice back three, the Spaniard went with Tomiyasu, Ben White, and Gabriel, with Kieran Tierney and Ainsley Maitland-Niles providing the width.

But while Tomiyasu did well on his debut, it was the performance of fellow summer signing White that caught the eye. The former Brighton man was composed throughout, and looked every bit the England international.

Naturally, Twitter was full of comments from Arsenal fans keen to praise White’s performance. And while it might only have been against a Norwich side expected to struggle, it was still a good one.
