A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the report linking Gunners midfielder Matteo Guendouzi with Valencia.

According to The Mirror, the Spanish club is after a one-year loan deal for the 21-year-old with a fixed option to buy him next summer for £16milllion.

The report adds that Valencia have held talks with Guendouzi’s representatives amid strong interest from elsewhere in Spain, as well as France.

In addition, it is claimed that Los Che want an answer by next weekend on a potential deal, though Arsenal prefer a straight sale to fund other business including Lille defender Gabriel.

Guendouzi, reportedly on £40,000-a-week, was frozen out at the Emirates Stadium in wake of an incident with Brighton striker Neal Maupay towards the end of their Premier League clash in June.

Prior incidents allegedly took place, including an apparent dispute between Arteta and Guendouzi in Dubai (France Football) and the boss reportedly re-watching training footage on one occasion and seeing the player “messing about” (Daily Mail).

France Football claimed in July that Arsenal were considering all options – a sale, loan or part-exchange – for a player valued at 30m to 35m Euros (£27m to £31.5million).

A reported £16million offer bid is quite a step down, and some Gunners fans on social media were vocal about what Valencia are said to have offered:
