Tottenham found their way past Wolves yesterday with a 1-0 win thanks to a Dele Alli penalty, but it was a moment from Steven Bergwijn that caught the eye.
Bergwijn, who signed for Spurs for £27m back in 2020, has started the season in fine form under Nuno Santo. After struggling for regular minutes under Jose Mourinho, the Dutchman seems to have the backing of his new coach.
And he blew fans and pundits away yesterday with a remarkable piece of skill to beat a couple of Wolves player. Respected Spurs journalist, Alasdair Gold, shared the footage on his Twitter account.
Naturally, a moment like this quickly does the rounds on social media and Spurs fans were all over it from the off.
And while some simply wanted to laud Bergwijn for this moment, others took time out to praise him overall, with plenty backing him to succeed this season if he keeps playing.
With that, here’s a look at what some Tottenham fans had to say as Steven Bergwijn delivered a moment of brilliant skill at Wolves.
Just that moment, made my weekend. I hope by the end of the season it’s just part of a Stevie sizzle reel. Great skill.
