West Ham are interested in a deadline day swoop for Chelsea’s French international striker Olivier Giroud, according to the Daily Mail.
They report that the Hammers want the World Cup winner to boost their attacking options and have enquired about his availability.
Concerns over Marko Arnautovic’s fitness have reportedly pressed the Irons into action and Sky Sports report that another of their striking options, Lucas Perez, is set to leave the club also.
They claim that Real Betis are edging closer to a £3.5m move to bring the Spanish striker back to his hometown, just months after he joined from Arsenal.

Giroud has struggled to establish himself as first choice at both Arsenal and Chelsea, but he would be absolutely ideal for the Hammers at this stage.
He is a classy hold-up man, adept at bringing others into play and he would add refinement to Manuel Pellegrini’s new-look side.
Giroud is an upgrade on Andy Carroll as a target man, because he offers a great deal more quality and is more consistent, and is able to be the focal point that West Ham may lack in the absence of Arnautovic.
It would be an ideal end to a testing transfer window if Pellegrini could get Giroud over the line.
