Tottenham Hotspur duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have been praised by Thomas Frank, who admits his side will find it “unbelievably difficult” to deal with the Spurs stars in tonight’s League Cup semi-final.
Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham take on Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight in a high-stakes game for both sides.
The North Londoners’ last major trophy was in this competition 13 years ago, while the Bees could take a step closer to a potential first major trophy in their history.

Kane and Son are likely to have a huge bearing on the game, the two forwards registering 32 goals and 22 assists between them in all competitions this season.
And Frank believes that keeping them at bay would go a long way towards a “remarkable” result, as difficult as it may be.
“Tottenham are by far the favourites,” the Dane told the Brentford media team at his pre-match press conference.
“Kane and Son have only scored 32 goals with 22 assists so if we can manage to keep them quiet in terms of goals or assists we are pretty far down the line in terms of making a remarkable result.
“It will be unbelievably difficult but we will do our best to keep them quiet. We are coming up against a world class team but if we don’t believe in ourselves, and don’t give it a shot, there’s no point in us turning up.”
TBR View:
While it’s not necessarily been plain sailing for Spurs this season, they’ve done remarkably well overall, currently sitting just four points off the Premier League summit and into the last 32 of the Europa League.
Mourinho says tonight’s game is the most important since he joined Spurs and he couldn’t be more right – reaching the final and potentially winning it could be the springboard towards forging a regular major trophy winner, like Manchester City’s FA Cup win in 2011.
And the incredible Kane and Son partnership will hopefully play a role in this.
