‘World class’: Some Arsenal fans hail reported target who ‘destroyed Neymar and Mbappe’ last night
A number of Arsenal fans have waxed lyrical about reported Gunners target Ibrahima Konate following his superb display last night.
The 21-year-old defender is highly rated, having already made 81 competitive appearances for RB Leipzig, including 19 in the Champions League and Europa League.
In addition, Konate has also won 11 caps for France’s Under-21s, captaining Les Bleuets in their 3-1 win over Czech Republic U21s in September.

According to Bild, he has caught the eye of Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, who’s said to be keen on signing a new defender next year, with some of Arsenal’s current options facing uncertain futures.
The outlet also suggests that Konate, who is contracted to Leipzig until the summer of 2023, has a €50million (£44million) release clause.
The Frenchman was in inspired form for the Bundesliga club in last night’s Champions League 1-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar’s 11th-minute penalty proving the difference.
Even though Leipzig lost, Konate – along with centre-back partner Dayot Upamecano – helped keep PSG at bay and stopped them from producing any meaningful chances.
