Watford glovesman Ben Foster has been speaking about Fantasy Football on his YouTube channel, where two Crystal Palace players were mentioned.

What’s the story?

Well, the £2.5m shot-stopper is seemingly a big Fantasy Football fan, and uploaded a video in which he provides plenty of tips.

While offering Fantasy Football guidance, Foster praised Tyrick Mitchell and Joel Ward, a duo he describes as ‘world beaters’ on the game.

The 38-year-old said: “The likes of Tyrick Mitchell, and Wan-Bissaka at Palace the year before.

“You always need to find that little beauty. Ward for Crystal Palace, players like that who are £4m or £4.5m, and just turn out to be world beaters.”

Now, you might argue that he doesn’t mean Mitchell and Ward are ‘world beaters’ in real life, as Fantasy Football is just a game.

However, it’s a game based on real life events, so Foster’s comments can definitely be perceived as genuine praise towards the English pair.

Watch out Ben Foster, Joel Ward might not start

In our view, we wouldn’t be too hasty about getting Ward into our Fantasy Football team – we don’t believe he’ll start under Patrick Vieira.

Despite his 273 appearances for the Eagles, the 31-year-old has barely featured in pre-season with Vieira opting to start Nathaniel Clyne instead.

However, you should definitely get Mitchell involved.

The 21-year-old has featured heavily during pre-season, and looks set to start most weeks after taking Patrick van Aanholt’s No.3 shirt.

The left-back is a solid option defensively, and also started to show his attacking output towards the end of last season.

Mitchell scored and provided an assist in the 3-2 win over Aston Villa in May, for example.

Get him in your team – he won’t let you down.
