After beating Crystal Palace 4-0, Harry Kane says Heung-min Son has been working so hard in Tottenham training lately.

Son scored in a Premier League game for only the second time this season and the first time as a starter as Spurs exploded into life in the second half.

They went in at 0-0 at Selhurst Park, with both sides having spells of pressure in the opening 45 minutes but took control after the break.

Kane told club media that Son has been great in training throughout his rough patch which has seen his performances regularly called into question.

Kane says Son has been working so hard in training

Kane said: “Sonny has been working so hard with and without the ball at the training ground.

“When you are going through spells like that, just work even harder.

“He was out there today, getting in good positions and thankfully one fell his way and he was able to put a good finish on it.

“It will be great for him, great for his confidence. Sonny is a really important player for us and hopefully that can help kick start a few more goals for him between now and the end of the season.”

Kane was spectacular in the second half last night, scoring twice to take the game away from Palace and then setting up Son’s goal.

He has scored three in three since his World Cup heartbreak and yet it still looks like there are more gears he can go to in the weeks ahead.

Son getting back on form would help ease the burden on Kane, and that goal could just have come at the right time, with Arsenal and Manchester City on the horizon for Spurs before the end of the month.
