Last year Arsenal bigwig Stan Kroenke invited American wonderkid Cole Bassett for a trial at the club’s London Colney training facility.
The 19-year-old wasn’t handed a contract by the Gunners but the Colorado Rapids forward is busy showing the Gunners what they’re missing.
Bassett typically plays in the No.10 role and with Arsenal struggling for creativity, his form might be interesting.
The teenage sensation has scored five goals and registered five assists form his 12 appearances this season.

Given his tender years, Bassett is improving all the time and he is clearly on Kroenke’s radar.
Football London reported this time last year that the youngster was to embark on a trial with the Gunners.
Bassett came through the youth ranks in Colorado and made his first-team debut in September 2018.
Although the trial was arranged to try and strengthen the links between the two clubs, perhaps the attacker might be an ideal addition.
He is showcasing his talents this season in a way that he perhaps didn’t during the 2019 season.
Arsenal have struggled for a creative spark this season and Mikel Arteta has shown a willingness to utilise youth.
Mesut Ozil wasn’t included in the 25-man squad and Dani Ceballos has struggled for consistency since signing for the second time.
Talent
Emile Smith Rowe and Joe Willock are waiting in the wings, but Bassett could perhaps be a useful addition.
Arsenal’s youth ranks produce some seriously talented players and the American would learn an awful lot.

During his relatively short career to date, Bassett has played in a number of positions and there is still time for him to develop.
On current form, other European clubs will surely start to show an interest in the youngster.
Arsenal had him within their grasp once and they should perhaps now look to sign him on a permanent contract.
