Wolves have completed the signing of Barcelona playmaker Trincao on a season-long loan. It is claimed by The Athletic that the club has an option to buy the player too.
The 21-year-old is a signing which has come out of the blue for Wolves supporters. He played 42 games for Barcelona last season as they missed out on the La Liga title.
Trincao scored three goals for the Catalan giants and largely featured as a right-winger. He can also operate on the left, however, with boss Bruno Lage now holding options.
Interestingly, Wolves might have got themselves a steal. It was previously claimed by AS that Trincao had a release clause at the Nou Camp of £429 million.

He is the second signing to arrive at Molineux this summer. Colombian defender Yerson Mosquera has also checked in during the transfer window.
This looks like an intriguing signing. He has found himself down the pecking order at Barcelona. This move will at least allow him to play regular first-team football over a consistent period.
Wolves supporters buzzing with Trincao deal
Following today’s news, supporters have been reacting on Twitter as the Barcelona man checks in. The deal does have an option to buy the player, although it’s not thought to be a mandatory deal.
It seems as though plenty are of the opinion that he will thrive at Wolves. He will certainly compliment the squad and add something a bit different to the wide areas.
Trincao will have a period of isolation now but will link up with his teammates for pre-season afterwards.
Here is what Wolves supporters were saying on Twitter after this morning’s announcement.
