Luke Cundle has posted on Instagram after it was confirmed the teenage Wolves midfielder had put pen to paper on a new contract with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side – and Fabio Silva has responded with a two-word message to Cundle.

Cundle, 18, has been rewarded for his performances in the second string this season – in which has remained a regular. He has missed just one Premier League 2 match, clocking up 11 appearances and even scoring against Leeds United in a 2-2 draw.

The midfielder has also played in all three of the club’s EFL Trophy games, and those performances have even caught the eye of the Wolves gaffer. Cundle has been included on the bench – albeit an unused substitute – in three league games this season.

Cundle has now penned a new deal which is to keep him at Molineux until the summer of 2023, and he has posted his delight at signing a new contract on Instagram – holding aloft the Wolves away shirt and captioning his post “new deal”.

Cundle will have plenty of competition ahead of him. Santo currently boasts Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho in the middle of the park, as well as Leander Dendoncker and numerous other options in his senior side. But Cundle is making moves.

Silva responded to his post, commenting: “Let’s go”.
